Primary Contact Name * This is the individual who will be handling all communications with the Festival. 2. Primary Contact Email * 99% of our communication with you is via email, so make sure this is address is correct. 3. Primary Contact Phone Number * Just in case there's something SUPER time sensitive. 7. How did you hear about Fringe Development? Feel free to name drop. Maybe we'll buy them a drink! SECTION TWO:PRODUCTION DETAILS 1. Title of Show * Even if it's just your working title. 2. Producing Group/Company/Artist * Who the show would be billed as "presented by." 3. City, State (or City, Country, if International) * Where the Producing Group/Company/Artist would be listed as "from." 4. Has your show received any kind of reading or performance before? * Yes, I've had public readings of it before. Yes, it's been staged before. No, it's never been spoken out loud. None of these apply...somehow. 5. Show Categorization * Dance/Physical Theatre Family Friendly Interdisciplinary Musical Play Solo Performance Select the option that best applies to your production. You MUST choose one of these and if you are the only person IN the show, you MUST select "Solo Performance." Shows who select "Family Friendly" do NOT need to submit a separate "Family Friendly Fringe" application. 6. 3 Show Tags (e.g. Comedy, Women's Themes, Music) * Please provide THREE tags to help further categorize your show. Entirely your call, just don't use your Show Categorization. 7. Elevator Pitch (10 words or fewer) * A quick pitch of your production. 8. Show Description (50 words or fewer) * Your full show description. Please keep text to one solid block/single paragraph. 9. Approximate Run Time * MUST be between 45 and 60 minutes. 10. Group Size * Provide a single count of all participants (cast, crew, etc) that would need to be involved. If you are unsure, please approximate. SECTION THREE:SAMPLES & MATERIALS As detailed on pgs. 7-8 of the 2020 FAQ document, this application has REQUIRED samples/material as well as OPTIONAL samples/material. Please make sure you are submitting ALL the appropriate documents based on the type of show you're presenting and include whatever else you think may be helpful. REQUIRED SAMPLES AND MATERIALS Cover Letter (1-Page) [ALL] * Sell us your show! Don't rehash things from any other materials...spend a page telling us why you think your passion and creativity deserve to be displayed at Fringe. 10-Page Script Sample [Scripted Productions, including Musicals, ONLY] Must be from the production you are submitting, not a previous work. 10-Page Project Outline [Devised/Incomplete Works ONLY] If you don't have a script yet but WILL, you get 10 pages to break down your show however you think would cover it best. 3+ Songs [Musicals ONLY] Please submit links for at least THREE sample songs via online streaming platforms (YouTube, Soundcloud, etc). Non-Musicals MAY also submit songs here if they are part of their production. 10 Minutes of Video [Unscripted Productions ONLY] Productions that don't have scripts and never will (e.g. Dance/Physical Theatre, Improv) must submit 10 minutes of video from the production they are applying with. Please include a link(s) for your videos on an online streaming platforms (YouTube, Vimeo, etc) and indicate which portion(s) of the video(s) to watch, if necessary. OPTIONAL SAMPLES AND MATERIALS Full Script PLEASE NOTE: Jurors are NOT required to read full scripts, but sometimes they do so it's always a bonus to include one. Production History [Format: Title. Festival/Theatre, Year] Feel free to let us know exactly when and where you've performed before, with any show. SECTION FOUR:TECHNICAL ELEMENTS 1. Playing space sizes vary from venue to venue, regardless of capacity. Based solely on the amount of space you need and no other technical parameters, select all dimensions below that could theoretically accommodate your production. * 12' x 10' 15' x 12' 20' x 15' I'd prefer/need a playing space larger than 20' X 15' You are not guaranteed a playing space of these specific sizes, should you be accepted. 2. Does your production contain any Imperative Stage Conditions? (e.g. You MUST have a crossover, you NEED 15' of overhead clearance, etc.) Even if you think it's something "any theater would have," be sure to mention it here...these aren't just any theaters. 3. Will you require THEATRICAL LIGHTING for your production? * Yes, and I would require the Festival's equipment. Yes, but I would provide some or all of my own equipment. No, my show will not use theatrical lighting. I am unsure at this time. We outfit ALL venues with a basic lighting plot, but it never hurts to ask. If YES, please detail your Lighting needs and/or cues. We always love to know what folks are planning for. 4. Will you require a SOUND SYSTEM for your production? * Yes, and I would require the Festival's equipment. Yes, but I would provide some or all of my own equipment. No, my show would not use a Sound System. I am unsure at this time. We outfit ALL venues with a basic sound system, but it never hurts to ask. PLEASE NOTE: You WILL be required to provide your own playback device. If YES, please detail your Sound needs and/or cues. We always love to know what folks are planning for. PLEASE NOTE AGAIN: You WILL be required to provide your own playback device. 5. Will you be using PROJECTIONS/VIDEO in your production? * Yes, and I would require the Festival's equipment. Yes, but I would provide some or all of my own equipment. No, my show would not use Projections/Video. I am unsure at this time. We do NOT outfit all venues with projectors automatically. If you select No or Unsure, you may be unable to add this content to your production unless you are providing your own equipment. If YES, please detail your Projection/Video Needs. 6. Please detail the approximate square footage of storage space needed for props, costumes, etc. Also feel free to detail items you'd prefer on-site storage for. Please do try and be as accurate as possible. Some venues feature little on-site storage. 7. Anything else regarding the Technical Elements of your production you'd like to let us know about? Go on! Tell us everything! 😀 SECTION FIVE:AVAILABILITY We know it can be tough this early on to predict the exact dates and times you'll be available, but we need to know at least how many days overall you intend to be here, along with your Venue Capacity preferences, as those two factors determine your eligibility and if we'll be able to give you enough rehearsal space time prior to your single performance. How many days do you intend on being in town during 2020 Cincy Fringe? * 9+ Consecutive Days (Maximum Performances) 7-8 Consecutive Days (Maximum minus 1) 5-6 Consecutive Days (Maximum minus 2) I'm not available for 5 or more consecutive days...so I guess I can't apply. 🙁 Festival runs 5/29 - 6/13. Fringe Development rehearsals may begin as early as 5/20. 2.
