Company Bio

Sufian Zhemukhov is an award-winning author and performer. He received the 2020 J.J. Reneaux Emerging Artist Award “to a storyteller of major and unique performing talent.” His solo shows were featured at festivals in Washington, DC and nationwide. Sufian’s stories are based on his personal experience as a first-generation immigrant and political scientist professor at George Washington University. He is the 2019 Moth Champion and winner at the 2018 National Storytelling Festival’s Story Slam.
