One Last Night with Mary MacLane

Nora Bonner and James Cargill

Detroit, MI

19th century genius’s last gig before she meets the Devil.

At 48, MacLane (1881-1929) rocks out for a musical self-tribute, so that she might remain in public consciousness before the Devil comes to claim her. Ferocious, hilarious, Faustian, MacLane laments tragic relationship with her English teacher before testifying to her longstanding devotion to the Devil.
