In the past decade-plus, Cincy Fringe has handed out over 50 Pick of the Fringe Awards to noteworthy productions and below you’ll find a list of all the productions who’ve walked away with an award. Our current slate of Pick of the Fringe Awards are:
Audience Pick (originated in 2004)
Patrons let their voice be heard by voting for their favorite show, their Pick of the Fringe.
The Rick Pender Critics’ Pick (originated in 2004)
The official Fringe Festival reviewers from Cincinnati CityBeat, League of Cincinnati Theatres, and other publications cast their choice for the critical darling of the Festival.
Dr. Robert J. Thierauf Producer’s Pick (originated in 2004)
The staff of Cincy Fringe gets a chance to pick their favorite show with this award named in memory of a dedicated and beloved Fringe supporter.
The Linda Bowen Full Frontal Pick (originated in 2012)
The most diehard of the Fringe audience, our All-Access Pass holders, get to vote for their favorite show of the year.
Artists’ Pick (originated in 2012)
Each artist participating in the Festival gets to vote for their favorite production (that isn’t their own show, cause, come on, that wouldn’t be fair).
Henrietta Barlag Spirit of the Fringe (originated in 2022)
An award for those that encompass the true essence of fringe, from the weird to the bold.

We wouldn’t be able to run our festival without each incredible volunteer, but there are those that go to great lengths to share their love for fringe…
In 2013 we also awarded shows with the Founders’ Pick, a special award whose recipients were chosen by the original staff members of the Festival. Read on below to review all our Pick of the Fringe winners!
